Welcome to the Autumn 2023 edition of Westwood News.

It’s great to welcome new readers to Westwood News and to continue the journey this year with our existing parents and carers. Celebrating the successes of our students and sharing news of their experiences is something we place a great deal of value on – it’s often these things that students will look back on most fondly, and we firmly believe that this enrichment matters as much as academic success.

We’ve had a busy start to the year, both in terms of the curriculum and that offered beyond the normal timetable. Our new Year 9 students have settled well and the returning Year 10 and 11 students have started the year on a positive footing. We’ve welcomed a large number of last year’s Year 11 students back into the Sixth Form, and the Year 13 students are back and working hard on their University applications and preparation for their next steps. I’d like to take the chance to say well done to all students on their behaviour and attitude since they’ve returned.
